Spray Painted Bedroom Wall

This is the beginning of a piece I created using rolled out canvas material. I rolled on various acrylic paints using a roller to get the tarnished, wall like effect in the background. I then started to spray through lace and masking tape to break up the background with contrasting colours. This was base surface. I went on to create these bolder patterns on top which contrasted to the dirty background. I had not completed the spray-painted/acrylic piece in this photograph. The finished result is shown in the next photograph where I have included it in an art installation focused on the theme of graffiti/dance movements.
